The annual alumni tea (barbecues are not permitted) took place on the warm sunny afternoon of the penultimate day of Henley Royal Regatta, Saturday 3rd July 2010. The space in Butler’s Field was overrun by current members, coaches, friends, family and alumni mingling and sampling the excellent cookery skills of the club.

Imperial qualified an impressive nine crews for the knock-out stages of the regatta, with most losing out to semi-finalists or finalists. The tea was a good time to reflect on the club’s successes throughout the year, while sipping Pimms No. 1 and munching on sandwiches, sausage rolls, salads, quiche and cakes and biscuits of every kind, as well as truly Cornish scones with clotted cream and jam.
Many thanks go to ICBC veteran/hero/double Henley Royal winner/legend/Man of the Millennium, Dr Simon Hislop, for organising the event. He is now callously leaving us to join the Dark Blues (Press Coordinator Richards dislikes this). The club wishes Simon all the best for his new life in Oxford, and hope he'll come back to visit.

The next alumni event will be the Annual Club Dinner in the autumn, to which all are invited to attend. Further details will be posted on the website in the near future.
